I’m a librarian and I currently work for Evanced Solutions – http://www.evancedsolutions.com/ – a library vendor specializing in software making events, library meeting rooms, and summer reading programs easier to management. Plus we have other cool products…

(Legal Info: While we’re talking about Evanced, let me just tell you that this blog contains my own ideas and thoughts and should not be misconstrued as representing the thoughts, beliefs, blah blah blah of Evanced. Just so you know.)

Other random info:

•  I was a member of the IMLS 21st Century Librarianship Grant and graduated from Wayne State University in 2006.
•  In the last eight years, I’ve worked in public libraries, academic libraries, special libraries, archives, and now with a vendor.
• I was a member of the 2009 class of American Library Association Emerging Leaders

I want to help improve the library profession, but not in that intense, loud, overbearing, extremist way, but in a way that is steady, committed, and effective. We must be a profession that mindfully builds initiatives in a timely and efficient manner. We must stick to those initiatives but be flexible enough to change them as is needed. I firmly believe librarians must embrace an innovative, creative, entrepreneurial mindset in order to make our profession continually relevant.
